If it were, everyone that's overweight would have T2.
But, we are raising awarness every single year. Each year we get louder and louder. And honestly, I keep thinking that in the beginning pink ribbons probably didn't mean a whole lot to anyone. It takes a while to pick up steam.
We'll get there. Just keep using your blog and every other opportunity you have to inform and educate. If we all do that, it will get to where it needs to be. :) Carahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09108867545803896885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8191128400524019706.post-31867160420771358382012-11-25T09:59:10.242-05:002012-11-25T09:59:10.242-05:00I get upset during September because the NFL wears...I get upset during September because the NFL wears pink. They show their support for breast cancer, yet type 2 diabetes kills more people than aids and breast cancer combined. For 2 years I've tried to get the NFL to use November as Diabetes Awareness Month and wear the ribbon on their helmets like the do for breast cancer. You'd think they'd do that when there is a juvenile onset (type 1) diabetic playing!LRMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06670715983949140434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8191128400524019706.post-14876116432798737902012-11-25T01:13:19.462-05:002012-11-25T01:13:19.462-05:00I have the same thought about the mustache thing.....I have the same thought about the mustache thing... why us more attention being brought to prostate health than diabetes? I mean healthy prostates are good and all, but diabetes seems to have just been forgotten. Guess we need a better way to bring notice to it next year... what beats a mustache?Boop82https://www.blogger.com/profile/01510349931967027158noreply@blogger.com
